Nanni Ristorante in Rochelle Park successfully combines Old World charm and dependability with exciting cuisine and an array of specials sure to please the palate. Menu highlights include the anticipated pasta, seafood, veal, beef and poultry sprinkled with surprises such as frog legs and calves’ livers. Seasoned veteran Chef Paolo Gilberto, formerly of Archer’s in Fort Lee, bought into the start-up Nanni in 1986 before bringing along Archer maitre d’ and employees Manny Moreira and Lino Queirolo. The three have brought simple elegance to this busy Passaic Street restaurant, and have created some of the finest Italian dishes in the area. Nanni’s wine list features selections from Italy, France and California. Step out of a busy day and into a relaxing, traditional Italian venue for a few hours and be pleasantly surprised with good food, wine and excellent service in a comfortably elegant atmosphere.

Food was good, however the service was horrible. Our waiter took our order, and didn't see him again till we got our bill. My wife and I would have loved another drink during dinner, oh well. I was so annoyed, that dessert and espresso wasn't happening. I just wanted out.

Reservations were not honored, and I had steel wool in my food. The food was good don’t get me wrong, but the experience for my first time going on a special day was poor. From the valet giving me attitude before even getting into my car because I didn’t instantly give a tip, to nothing being offered to make my experience better when I was chewing on literal steel wool in my food (confirmed by my waiter) and then both tables to my side waiting 20 mins for the check and in one instance getting the check wrong at least 4 times. We had 8pm reservations and were not seated until 8:30. I wish my experience was better but I was very disappointed.
