It’s a really beautiful room! The food was lovely, romantic and quiet! We loved it!

Was lovely as usual. We have come here on and off for 40 years and it doesn't disappoint. I love to cook and experiment, and enjoy the culinary experience I as I always get new ideas. It is very expensive so it is not something we do all the time even though we live in KPT. My only criticism is that it is hard to finish the meal with the appetizers, interludes and the main course. By the time we get to the main course, I wish it was a little less.

The Burleigh experience last night was basically ideal. Prelude is an annual festival in Kennebunk/Kennebunkport, and as a result the Burleogh was far more crowded than usual. It didn’t make a difference. The bartenders were funny, fast, and professional. After enjoying our drinks, our server found her way quickly to our table through the happy throng, and the food was excellent. The baked goat cheese is the best I’ve had, and the quality of the experience was wonderful.

We went to Chez Rosa’s for the Christmas Prelude Prix Fix …so very happy we did! This chef curated meal with wine pairings was absolutely top shelf. We both had the pate basque with marcona almonds and piquillo pepper mustard, paired with a sparkling Marie Pierre ma coat-cremat de Bourgogne. The wine played off the rustic pork pate nicely. Main course, I chose the Maine scallops with roasted parsnips & carrots, and a lobster mage with thinly sliced grapes, which was paired with a pouilly guise from Dominique Cornin. This meal was heavenly in every aspect! My husband chose the braised beef short rib with a sweet potato tartiflette, wilted greens and an au poivre sauce paired with an aux lieux-dits gigondas from Domaine Santa Duc. His beef was fork tender and deeply flavorful. The taritiflette was a perfect foil for the rich beef . The wine! Blackberry fruit forward without being a jam jar…silky tannins…yum! Neither of us had ever had opera cake, so that was an easy choice…and a great choice. Chestnut, chocolate ganache and velvety butter cream paired with a chenin blanc …perfect end to a perfect meal! Our server Sean was attentive and informative, genuinely interested in the diners in his charge. If you love good food and wine, do not hesitate to dine at Chez Rosa’s….you won’t regret it!

Wonderful! Made reservations at peak time during Christmas Prelude, arrived somewhat earlier and shown right to a fabulous table overlooking the river. Lively atmosphere without being overly noisy, great service and food. Recommended!
