We were seated immediately upon arriving for our reservation and the service was really nice - just the right speed for two couples catching up. The server gave good recommendations and everyone's dish was great. Nice wine list. The evening was perfect - uncomplicated, delicious and cheerful. Recommend.

The ossobuco was fantastic! Everything else was superb.

We were supposed to get a four top at 7:15. They definately sat a few walk in couples in four top tables that 'stayed a long time'.. So..they pushed two 2 top tables together in the middle of the room and sat us at 7:35. Most staff then left by 9. Our food was excellent and fortunately they let us stay as long as we needed and wanted.

This was our first visit to Salt & Iron, but it certainly will not be our last. I had the 8 oz. filet and it was outstanding - tasty and grilled to perfection. My wife had the halibut and raved about how good it was. But what stood out above all else was the service. Our server, Diane, was extremely attentive and professional, but still very friendly. She made sure we had everything we needed, but without hovering. And if you go to Salt & Iron, be sure to treat yourself to some ice cream for dessert! Yum yum!

Absolutely phenomenal experience from beginning to end. The ambience and decor are charming, whimsical while still being elegant. The service was top notch and friendly. The food was outstanding. I had the black cod with cauliflower puree, mushrooms and truffle plus a farro-type grain, absolutely delicious. My colleague had the lamb shank which was falling off the bone and had a ton of flavor. I highly recommend it!
