Amazing roast dinner with attentive and professional staff. Reasonably priced for the amount of food on the plate. Real homely roast dinner. The gravy is to die for and the veg selection was perfect. We had the chicken and lamb roasts and both were perfectly cooked

Lovely meal and a warm welcome from the staff who were attentive but not invasive.

Always exceptional dining. The Sunday roast is unmatched to that of any others we have sought in search of the perfect roast. So much so that we recently visited the Heston Blumenthal’s establishment [The Hinds Head] in Bray for a Sunday roast, and whilst the lunch was faultless, we and accompanying friends believe it didn’t match that of the Gables.

We were greeted as always with lots of smiles and a happy "Buona Sera" from Davide and all the team. Today we were celebrating my husband's birthday and were immediately spoilt with a glass of prosecco each to toast the occasion. We have our favourite dishes that we stick to but this evening we decided to try something new, so the birthday boy had Seppia Fritta followed by Vitello Tonnato and I had the Frittura (which I always have) but tried the Pesce Spada e Melenzane with casarecce pasta, which I might add was absolutely delicious and definitely worth recommending! My son had the spaghetti carbonara, followed by a juicy rib-eye and caprese cake for his dessert. It wouldn't be a birthday without a candle in the cannoli and a quick rendition of Tanti Auguri A Te Once again well done Marcus on a fabulous evening, if you have yet to visit, put it on your list and you won't be disappointed. It will become your new favourite restaurant, it's definitely ours!

If we could give 10 stars we would! This is such a wonderful restaurant. The food, wines, service , ambience are all outstanding! To pick a few items off of the menu, I would recommend the gnocchi, which is homemade and outstanding + the modernese pizza is one my favourites. The quality of the ingredients and all the food is always guaranteed.
