(there were couples waiting, I guess wo reservations) Waitress, Laurie, was very good. Meals were delicious pot roast for me; filet mignon. The filet was supposed to be medium but came well done, but it was taken back and replaced by a new perfectly done one. The waitress was very apologetic as was the manager (?) who offered a free dessert. The atmosphere (being in a historic NE Inn) was the icing on the cake. The service was exceptional throughout the evening, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made sure every detail was taken care of. The Black and White truly is great, offering a dining experience that is both sophisticated and comforting.
