Discover Chebeague Island
Located 10 miles off the coast of Portland, Chebeague Island is a popular travel destination for nature lovers and sailing aficionados. It's also home to several chic cafes and restaurants. The cuisine is largely all-American, and many of the restaurants serve fish sourced from the surrounding Casco Bay. For an upscale dining experience, seek out establishments that serve freshly caught seafood like lobsters and mussels. For lunchtime, most visitors and residents dine at one of Chebeague Island's cafes, where you can get salads, sandwiches, and warm coffee. To grab a picnic-ready meal, head to a local clam shack for everything from scallops to scoops of ice cream.
