- PPeterLondon •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoProbably the best restaurant in Parkersburg. Not cheap, but elegant dining in an elegant venue. Reservations are not required but highly recommended. Come for the live piano music on weekend evenings. I’ve been coming to Parkersburg on business for several years— the Blennerhassett is an old-world experience not to be missed and the dining room is the best.More infoThe Blennerhassett Hotel & SpaPrice: Expensive• American• Parkersburg•4

Discover Athens
An hour or so south of Columbus, nestled in the rolling hills along the Hocking River, you’ll find Athens, Ohio. Home to Ohio University, Athens combines the charm of a Midwestern small town with startling scenic beauty, making it a destination in and of itself. In terms of food options, it’s a college town, so you’ll find pizza joints and plenty of bars, not to mention scores of laid-back places to eat. Pub food is popular, but so are ethnic eats like Cuban, Caribbean or Mediterranean. Upscale dining is also available. Many restaurants focus on locally sourced and produced ingredients, and who could blame them with the bounty yielded by Ohio’s farmland right at their doorstep?
