Spring Restaurants

CNN Money named Spring, Texas, one of the most affordable places to live in the state. This city, which is located just 24 miles from Houston up Interstate 45, also has many great restaurants. Most have a cosmopolitan flair not found in other small towns. With Texas raising more than 2.42 million cows in feedlots each year, it is not surprising that many restaurants take advantage of red meat to make delicious dishes such as shredded beef cooked in tomato-red wine sauce, hamburgers, chicken-fried steak, and beef and ricotta cannelloni. Since this city is located only about 75 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, many dining spots also specialize in serving clams, calamari, scallops, fish, mussels, and other seafood.
