- LLorenaHouston •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoSALT was amazing! The food tasted great, the drinks were delicious, and the PB&J bar was a tasty dessert to finish our experience. The ambience was very romantic and the noise level was perfect to maintain a private conversation at a normal level. The waiter & kitchen staff were great at accommodating food allergies and checking in with us about our different options for modifications.More infoSALTPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• McAllen•4.9
- RRaulCorpus Christi / McAllen •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoRicardo and Danny were the best servers. As soon as we walked in we were greeted walked to our table. Were seated down formally. Danny suggested the best drinks. So delicious. The only thing that was not good was that my wife's steak had pieces of plastic. Brought it up to the attention of our servers and they offered us 10% discount. We'll that was not the only bad thing about the plastic found before my wife ate it by accident but no manager came to our table to apologize. The servers had to take care of the situation. But overall everything was greatMore infoPalominos - McAllenPrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• McAllen•4.5

Discover McAllen
McAllen might not be one of the most well-known cities in Texas, but its restaurant scene is surprisingly diverse while still holding that Texan flair for large portions and bold flavors. As one might expect, it's a town that understands meat. Steakhouses and Tex-Mex restaurants dominate the imaginations of both locals and critics, and they make up for a lack of elegance with a practiced understanding of how to handle the grill. That's not to say you won't find fine dining in the city of McAllen. If you're looking for a modernist, seafood-inspired spin on Japanese cuisine, a traditionally sumptuous Italian feast, or an upscale take on Cajun cuisine, you'll find something to love in McAllen. Many restaurants stock their kitchens with fresh meat and produce direct from the local farmers market.
