Nami Kaze Hawaii is the story of Chef Jason Peel’s culinary journey. Combining the flavors from his hometown of Kaua‘i, and the decades of experience working for some of Hawai‘i’s top culinary leaders, including Ian Ruso of Michele’s at the Colony Surf and Roy Yamaguchi, Nami Kaze Hawaii is a unique melting pot of culinary creativity. With a farmer-focused approach, guests can expect to embark on a culinary adventure, enjoying creations that reflect Peel’s appreciation for the produce and provisions found throughout the state.
Nami Kaze Hawaii is currently open for brunch and dinner, Wednesday through Sunday. Nami Kaze Hawaii's brunch menu offers a unique take on local Hawaii brunch favorites, while its dinner menu features izayaka-style share plates with plans to debut a sushi omakase-style bar in 2023. Inspired by the rich history of Pier 38, Upstairs at Pier 38 is a place to gather that encompasses locally caught seafood, sourced by the renowned Honolulu Fish Auction, featuring USDA Prime Steak. Our Culinary Team adds their own creativity to the menu by collaborating with Chef Nico Chaize, to create island cuisine using rustic French techniques.
Experience our cozy lounge setting inspired by a “home away from home.” Smokey wood accents with high industrial ceilings, glowing lights, and a majestic copper bar will allow our guests to unwind with ease. Seating in the dining room is spacious and perfect for large parties or an intimate date night.
We are happy to offer a contemporary wine list with old-world treats, locally crafted beers, and captivating one-of-a-kind cocktails. Our team prefers reservations; however, walk-ins are always welcome!

All of the food and the service was fantastic. It is a little pricey but if you can’t pay don’t go. Portions were great for the price couldn’t finish my food. Got the clams and the pho both were amazing to be honest might’ve been the best clams I ever had. Only complaint would be that it was loud but that’s the guests not the restaurant would definitely go back 10/10.

The first time we ate here, we stumbled in, not knowing what to expect and we’re so happy with our food that our next trip to Honolulu we made sure we got in and had dinner here again The food is outstanding The staff is attentive and knowledgeable The atmosphere is fun and inclusive I highly recommend this restaurant

Our hosts were very gracious about helping us to find a wine to enjoy for dinner - they offer a thoughtfully curated wine list along with excellent cocktails. Every bite if our dishes were also delicious!

Sat in the back lanai, which had a cozy intimate atmosphere. Food is always good here at O'Kims. Truffle Mandoo is a fave; stone bibimbap hit the right spot, especially with the purple rice substitution. The Oxtail Mandoo Kook Soo was also unique and delicious.
