- MMariannePhiladelphia County •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a great experience. We went fir our anniversary, first time there. We had Tristan as a server & he was on the ball. The filet mignon eggrolls were probably our favorite. The steak was cooked perfectly & the mustard sauce was no joke. The lobster bisque was out of this world (no skimping on the lobster) For entrees, we had the Salmon Imperial & Lobster Pasta. There were no leftovers to be seen. I mean, it probably looked like we licked the plates clean (we didn't, but still).More infoValley Green InnPrice: Expensive• American• Chestnut Hill•4.6

- AAlistairPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoConsidering it was a very busy Valentines day, seeing the lines at the check-in made me very glad I had a reservation for a month. Kitchen was busy but our wonderful server Matt made sure to set the expectation of a wait. This is our third time being lucky having Matt as our server and he's just great!More infoIron Hill Brewery - Chestnut HillPrice: Moderate• American• Chestnut Hill•4.1
- SSamuelPhiladelphia County •8 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThe food and ambiance were amazing. Parking was difficult, but it might be easier when it’s not a holiday-on-Friday. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our Valentine’s Day dinner there (although I thought the prix fixe price was set a little high), and we plan to go back to try out the regular menu.More infoBlondiePrice: Moderate• American• Manayunk•4.4

12 of Philadelphia’s outstanding spots for celebrating special occasions
Maybe you got engaged on the steps at the Philadelphia Museum of Art or just picked up the keys to your first rowhouse. It could be that your kid is (finally) toilet trained, or that your noisy neighbor moved away. Sometimes, simply surviving another Tuesday can be an occasion to celebrate over a restaurant meal. It doesn’t have to be fancy. What makes an occasion special isn’t an arbitrary date on the calendar—it’s the decision to celebrate. Luckily, Philadelphia bursts with places where the food and atmosphere lend themselves to living it up. Grab dinner and a jazz show at a swinging North Broad Street faithful. Opt for a quieter night at a critically acclaimed, plant-based gem in Midtown Village. Or splurge on a swanky steakhouse that presides over a corner of Rittenhouse Park. Whether you’re after an intimate spot for an anniversary date or a convivial atmosphere for a boisterous reunion, Philadelphia has you covered with these 12 celebration-worthy restaurants.

10 Top Burger Picks in Philadelphia and New Jersey

Throughout Philadelphia and New Jersey, burger options abound, from pared-down smashburgers topped with a simple combo of lettuce, tomato and onion, to patties finished with bacon and eggs designed for brunch-time enjoyment. Discover Chestnut Hill
The neighborhood of Chestnut Hill has long been known as Philadelphia's Garden District for good reason. With its wealth of greenery and unusually high population of historical architecture, it's the perfect place to sit on a patio for a nice brunch or an early dinner. Luckily, the restaurant owners of Chestnut Hill are happy to oblige. As one might expect from Philadelphia, beer is never lacking. A number of breweries dot the neighborhood, serving gastro pub interpretations of more traditional bar food. But the culinary delights available go well beyond admittedly delicious takes on burgers and wings. Asian fusion has become popular in the area, but you'd be remiss to visit the area without trying a classic Philly cheesesteak or a sumptuous sticky bun.
