- DDJVIPWashington, D.C. Area •4 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoWe had a reservation for 8, but one more joined us. The front desk staff immediately rejected the idea of placing another seat at the table and told us it would be really tight. I understood that, but when we reached the table, there was indeed room for an additional chair. The reaction was truly not customer service focused as the front desk staff then says, let me go find a chair. Mind you, there was a party who had 4 unused chairs, plus a chair randomly sitting unattached to a table. I found this very frustrating as I knew with our parry of 8, we would be spending over $300, which we did. To end the lunch and to my annoyance after checking the bill emailed to me, I was charged 20% tip based on subtotal AND tax, when it should have been just on subtotal. I enjoyed the taste of the food, however found the service to be subpar for the value. I will say that upon calling back to the restaurant, the person who answered rectified the situation. I had to call back to the restaurant twice but it eventually was resolved.More infoFounding Farmers & Distillers DC: ChinatownPrice: Moderate• American• Mount Vernon Square•4.4
- JJenniferWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe came to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our anniversary. Loved the esthetic appropriately decorated for Christmas. Our server Merybeth was exceptional! She was welcoming very attentive, and anticipated our needs. Merybeth made our whole experience rate it 5 stars. Now the food, we ordered the Tomahawk steak with Zanahorias al carbon(roasted heirloom carrots) and papa al horno(wood-fired baked potato). The steak was cooked at medium temperature, juicy, tender and seasoned to perfection. The steak was infused with herbs flambé at our table side which made the experience exquisite! We also ordered the Queso fundido with beef and ceviche Amarillo which very delicious. Everything was beautifully plated! We will definitely be coming back!More infodLeñaPrice: Expensive• Latin American• Mount Vernon Square•4.6
- AAlexVIPWashington, D.C. Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoEverything came out so timely, the Service was excellent! Our reservation was technically outside of happy hour but the staff was extremely gracious in getting us seated right away. We enjoyed both of our drinks but the Mousse a la Peche was by far our favorite! Dumplings were great as well, already made our next reservation!! Amazing experience!More infoBar ChinoisPrice: Moderate• Chinese• Shaw•4.7
- NNancyNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined on 11 Dec 2024We arrived at 5:15 and we’re quickly seated and served. The food was excellent and the service good until the restaurant got full. Then the service disappeared and we waited a half an hour or more for desserts. Went full you couldn’t pull your chair out without hitting somebody else. And the noise level was high. The food was phenomenal.More infoOttoman TavernaPrice: Moderate• Turkish• Mount Vernon Square•4.7
