Beautiful true ocean front view of beach and surfers. The service and food were all excellent. Many great menu choices. The seating is very comfortable. Allow time to park as it’s the beach! They have valet but it’s still the beach.

We dined here on a Tuesday evening, to celebrate my wife's birthday. We chose to sit outside, so that we could enjoy the ocean. We got a 4:00 early dinner reservation, so that we would have some daylight before the sunset after 5:00 (January). It was a bit chilly outside, but they have ample propane heaters, so we were very comfortable. The view of the ocean is great from their patios. We shared an Empanada appetizer to start. It was not my favorite. The shell was very hard, and insides were a bit meager. However, both of our entrees were excellent. I had the Seafood Pasta, and my wife had the Paella. If you enjoy seafood, and we do, they were both really, really good. As it was my wife's birthday, the restaurant provided a free dessert for her, which was a kind of bread pudding cake with ice cream and some fruit. It was quite good. The restaurant wound up getting pretty busy, but since we were sitting outside, there was no noise for us, just the ocean waves. I can't say what the noise level was like inside in the dining rooms. We have now eater here 3 times, stretched out over maybe a period of around 1 1/2 years. The restaurant has been under construction that entire time, which is somewhat disconcerting when you drive up to it, as it looks from the street like it might be closed. This construction didn't impact our experience on any of our visits, but I find it odd that it has gone on for so long, making me wonder if the restaurant ran into financial or permit problems. The space that is being renovated I believe was previously a separate restaurant that they are basically absorbing, but I could be wrong about that. One final thing to know is that they have very limited parking, so you will most likely valet, which costs $8. All in all, we had a great experience, and our waitress Ruby was a delight, and I heartily recommend dinner there to everyone. I also recommend that you come early to get the best table, as they do get very busy.

Amazing Customer Service from the Valet to the Hostess to the Wait Staff. The soup was perfect for a chilly day like today. The view as always is spectacular!

It was awful. We came here to enjoy the view and celebrate our anniversary. We were places at a table surrounded by screaming children that kept running around the restaurant. The service was incredibly slow and it made the experience unbearable. The food was delicious but unfortunately, we could t enjoy it with the constant screaming and chaos. We will never return.

The service at Pacific Coast left much to be desired. It took about five minutes before we were even greeted, and by the time our server arrived, we already knew what we wanted. When I asked her for a recommendation between the calamari or shrimp dumplings as an appetizer, she only described the portion sizes, which wasn’t very helpful. We went with the calamari, but it was made with cornmeal, and that was all you could taste—it was terrible, so we didn’t even finish it. After waiting a while to place our dinner order, the entrées arrived surprisingly quickly, within 5-10 minutes. Unfortunately, the plates were hot, but the food was cold. I had the crusted mahi mahi, which was hard and tough to eat, and my husband’s fish was equally disappointing and cold. Neither of us could finish our meals because the food was just not good. I would bet that the fish being served is not fresh. The whole experience felt rushed, not because the service was efficient, but because we couldn’t eat much of what we were served. We were in and out within 50 minutes and had to ask for the check to leave. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. First time trying this location, wouldn’t come back.

Great service and food. Family birthday lunch celebration. A bit noisy but everyone seemed to be having a great time. Valet parking worth it. I should have left a larger tip, wasn’t thinking straight. Our waitress was terrific! We’ll be back!
