Perry’s on the Embarcadero is a sleek waterfront outpost of the Union Street original, following the same combination of all-American favorite fare and comfortable, welcoming service that Perry’s first made a San Francisco hallmark in 1969. The décor is warm – murals reminiscent of the memorabilia made famous on Union Street, combined with exposed brick walls, a wood-burning fireplace and breathtaking views of the Bay and the Bay Bridge.

Perry’s is known today, as much as ever, for its classic American food, its warm personable service and its fun, bustling bar. Perry's traditional yet innovative menu includes a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, pastas, steaks and grilled fresh fish. They couldn’t get our drink order correct. They served our appetizer after our main course. So the main course was cold. The people were super nice and tried their best.

we are only eating outdoors and felt very lucky to have found Hotel Griffin and Perry's on an earlier trip. We returned for the excellent petrale sole meunière. This time again the service was great, the outdoor seating warm enough even at night, the street relatively quiet. The only reason we gave the food a 4 is because of the ribs which we ordered as our second main. Though they weren't bad they were also nothing special and definitely not of of the same caliber as the sole. They also didn't hold a candle to the ribs we've had elsewhere - generous portions melted off the bone but there was nothing unique or special about the sauce and it was a little on the sweet side for our taste . It was, however notably better than the second main dish we ordered the last time we ate at Perry's (the steak sando). We'll probably come back again for the sole but hopefully we'll find a second main that we like as much.

Our waiter was great and very attentive. The food was outstanding. I ordered the burger and fries… so delicious! Thank you Perry’s , I’ll be back again soon!

Great spot to stop for lunch or dinner when on the Embarcadero. Food was served hot, quickly and was very tasty. Salads were generous, appetizers were yummy and the soup and burgers were good. Booth offered space for 5 and distance from noise to visit. Staff was excellent and attentive.
