Best French Restaurants in Philipsburg

Great day from start to finish! Beach, staff, food and service all amazing!

Amazing restaurant with great food, lovely vibe and professional staff. We went there for my wife b-day. Alexandre, the owner, is very welcoming and explained to us entire menu. The appetizers were delicious, the wagu Astralian steak was just exceptional and an apple pie desert with cappuccino was perfect way to end a wonderful dinner.  If you ever come to SXM, this place is a must.

We stopped here for a cocktail before dining elsewhere one night. Bar was superb-very reasonable wines by the glass, plus wonderful craft cocktails. Came back for dinner, which was a lovely experience. Lots of fairly theatrical tableside preparations. Highly recommend the tilefish in banana leaves and also the steak, which was flambéed tableside with a deliciously piquant sauce. We split a couple desserts, which were also quite good, especially the little puff pastry bites filled with cream and served with caramel and chocolate dipping sauces. One note of caution: if you are in a hurry, this is not your place. Service is leisurely verging on ‘where did they go?’. But we were on vacation. We poured our own wine, eventually flagged down a waiter for more water, and enjoyed our evening. I’d come back.

Service started a little rocky but the food made up for it. I had the best filet mignon and lobster bisque but the crab cake was the star of the show

The ambience is spectacular. You are high up and feel that you are overlooking and immersed in a jungle. The tree near our table housed a few iguanas who chased each other above us on the rooftop. They were quite entertaining. The food was excellent, and the server was very gracious. Although we stayed on the island, if we were on a cruise ship, I think this would be a fabulous excursion.
