Best Contemporary Canadian Restaurants in Old Strathcona

Oh man it was amazing! The roasted cauliflower, gnocchi, and the Cornish hen were all just so delicious! We each had a nice drink and the cost was extremely reasonable all things considered! Great service - very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly! Water was never empty for long! Thank you all

Considering that in many restaurants the often "associated chaos" on special days like Valentine's Day, the team at Boxer were incredible. Ambience in the newly opened "street space" was very nice, intimate for those that wanted more privacy and the hostess was most accommodating in finding the right table for us. With a set menu that offered three interesting and as it turns out, very tasty choices in appetizers, mains and desserts, we were very pleased at promptness of service, food presentation and delivery and of course the quality of food and excellent taste. A great venue for special occasions and for regular dining and highly recommended when dining in the Old Strathcona area of Edmonton.

I came out on a date and I had put in a request to have the share bowl with the flare as a surprise since my date hasn’t been here before and she was thrilled! Allie was our Server tonight and did a great job and the kitchen brought out everything perfectly. 100% recommend if you haven’t given them a shot! I recommend the cheese slider brisket, jerk wings, and if you like to drink the Bumbu Mai tai and Pina Colada was fire. They also have a solid mocktail menu too.

Beautiful small restaurant allowing for an intimate dining experience. The menu encourages sharing plates. Enjoyed the bread & butter appetizer. And shared the sablefish and steak both prepared to perfection. If you want a quiet dinner in Edmonton check out Darling
