Best Organic Food Restaurants in Newark

Made anniversary dinner reservations weeks in advance. We were promptly seated despite arriving 20 minutes early. Very extensive beverage list including some delicious Italian beers. The roasted beets and octopus salad starters were delicious. Our entrees, the candele Genovese and the Lobster pasta with substituted homemade GF fettuccine were both excellent. Service was quick and attentive despite the considerable Sunday evening dinner crowd. A Torta Caprese, espresso, and an unexpected on the house shot of Lemoncello for each of us for our special occasion was a wonderful way to end a very memorable dinner. We cannot wait to go back!

The food was excellent, just 2 minor things: 1-they don't serve alcohol here. I have since learned this has something to do with Montclair in general, though this restaurant does allow you to bring your own wine. I don't hold it against them, they have no control over it and now i know for next time. 2-They had a modified menu for Valentines weekend, so the regular menu wasn't available. Not the end of the world at all, and we got our food EXTREMELY quickly (and it was delicious), just another thing i wish i had known ahead of time.

We were there on a Saturday morning reservation for 4 at 11:15am. However it’s a more of a walk in first come first serve basis. We still waited for about an hour to get seated. However, the food and atmosphere was all great! So the wait was worth. Portions were large. Taste was great. Offers healthy choices and organic eggs. We ate comfortably.

Great experience! Food was good and the service was good. The hostess seemed a bit overwhelmed by the traffic of people arriving but the manager did a good job seating people.

The food was EXCELLENT, the waitress was absolutely sweet, caring, and there but not overbearing, the atmosphere was NIIIIIIICE, and it didn’t feel like a stuffy douschy Manhattan crowd. I’m definitely taking the hubby there again… and maybe soon haha
