- VVivianAtlantic Canada •13 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe had a wonderful lunch at Lou Pecou and took home pizzas for later. The service was outstanding, very friendly and accommodating and efficient, and the food was delicious. My only small complaint is that the salads were a bit small for the price, but compensated by being full of wonderful flavour. The pizza was outstanding and we enjoyed chatting with the chef, Lou.More infoLou pécou pizzeriaPrice: Moderate• Pizzeria• Halifax•4.9
- TTammyGreater Boston •7 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoThis nice little gem was our first time. The food menu has a bit of everything, the portion was really good, the service was really good. I would like to suggest to take a closer glance at the layout and ambiance. Upon our arrival the light were really bright and with the wood tables and metal chairs does not reflect what the restaurant wants to achieve. The potential is there and with prime location I think they are missing a great opportunity!More infoLOS TOROS Auténtico EspañolPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Halifax•3.8
- SSergeSan Diego •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe are a group of 4 from Gatineau, Quebec. EVERY TIME we have a chance to eat at the CANTEEN On Portland we do that. This week, we land at Halifax airport to go to Moncton and St-John, NB. Why we land at Halifax instead of Moncton? Yes we are crazy of the Scotian Chowder of Chef Renée at The CANTEEN. All the menu items worth the 2 hours of road extra we have to do. Yes since our first visit at The CANTEEN, we fall in love with all the team of Chef Renée and her husband. You go to Halifax? Great! go to the port, take the ferry and few minutes later you will fall in love you too with this place. DON'T FORGET TO RESERVE YOUR PLACE, It's a small place. LAST ADVICE: The Carrot Cake is awesome x3 . We bring 4 to our Moncton hotel for our late night snack. Yes we are crazy.More infoThe Canteen on PortlandPrice: Moderate• Farm-to-table• Dartmouth•4.9
- VVidhyaAtlantic Canada •3 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoGio is a safe bet when choosing where to celebrate a special someone and has continued to be such for the many years I’ve been going. The quality of the dishes paired with the attentive, personable staff is hard to beat in Halifax. We celebrated my Father’s 80th here and our party had the beef tartar, the bone marrow, the rabbit, the swordfish, boar, sunchoke ravioli, and the Cornish hen and everyone left full and happy. Our waitress Terry is a professional and a delight! Can’t wait to find a reason to go back!More infoGioPrice: Expensive• Global, International• Halifax•4.7
