- LLindseyNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had the most wonderful dinner at Café Saint Germain! From the moment we walked in, the cozy vibe immediately made us feel at home. We kicked things off with the salmon fumee and escargot, and both were incredible. Especially the escargot which was rich, garlicky, and buttery—absolutely perfect. For the main course, I had the coq au vin, and it was better than I had in Paris when I used to live there while I studied abroad. It was so tender, and perfectly cooked. My boyfriend got the bœuf bourguignon, and it was equally amazing—fall-apart tender beef and that classic deep, rich flavor you hope for. Can’t believe this place is right by my house. What really impressed me, though, was the wine list. It was clear a lot of thought went into it, with some really great options to pair with the dishes. We were suggested by our server the perfect wine for our meal, and it just rounded everything out so well. All in all, this place really nailed it, service was top notch, and I can’t wait to go back! It’s definitely my new favorite spot for French food.More infoCafé Saint-GermainPrice: Moderate• French• Somerville•4.7

We had a lovely evening, with fabulous food (a big shout-out for the roast chicken and the duck leg), fabulous service (Noel, you rock!), and a fun vibe (we loved the polaroid photo option!). Many thanks! We'll be back soon.More infoOak BistroPrice: Expensive• American• Cambridge•4.8

There were a few menu items that we needed to clarify before ordering as we were unfamiliar with items...but all part of the fun. The food was outstanding, I tried the lobster with squid ink gnocchi ...exceptional! The restaurant is kind of cozy...small floor plan with a communal center table. It all works, but if you have a larger group..book ahead to get one of the separate side tables.More infoPammy'sPrice: Very Expensive• American• Cambridge•4.8
