Best Restaurants that are Worth The Drive in Portola Valley

We were seated in the lovely side room close to a warm & comfy fireplace. The room was beautifully decorated for the holidays. We love the little lamps on each table, making it easy to read the menu. We both had the delicious Ahi, which is out of the world so fabulous. It came with some delicious spinach and we asked for the baked potato, which is our favorite. Great service and we had such a wonderful evening there!

It was raining. A manager meet us with umbrellas outside One friend was ushered in as she was using a walker and I used the other brought out to me to help the other 88 year old friend. We were ushered to the table chairs were pulled out for us to be seated!! Never have I felt so cared about. The hospitality was amazing! There is a tranquility and peace in the eloquent but casual environment overlooking the harbor and water On one wall separating the bar from the dining area is a huge aquarium where jellyfish float aimlessly The food served for lunch was excellent ! Max was amazingly friendly and helpful. He made the night as special as I had hoped it would be. And all the food was delicious and cooked to perfection.

We have been there 3 times now and every single time the food was exceptional. Every single item we have ordered salads, soup, appetizers, main courses and desserts were seasoned to perfection. I don't know how they do it, but it is always perfect. I fancy myself as quite a cook, but I am so impressed with their palates. The service is great, also, always there when you need them.

Every server was kind, helpful and accommodating . They took measures to meet our every need . When the wind kicked outdoors they asked if we wanted to move indoors or have a heater brought over. We didn’t even ask . We must have interacted with 6 people and each and every one of them was wonderful.
