Food and Beverage Magazine 30 under 30 winner, Chef Emilio Montenegro has crafted a menu based on his upbringing in Northern Mexico and his journey in kitchens across the world. Much of our concept is based around the heirloom corn of Mexico. We import four types of corn from a collective of heirloom farms in Mexico in order to provide the best product we can. We process this corn from raw and turn it into masa for dishes all across our menu, like our Sope, Tamal, and of course, Tortillas. There is a saying in Mexico that we live by at Fonda Fora: "Sin maiz no hay pais," meaning without corn, there is no country. The dinner services were fantastic. The tuna tartare is a must. I didn’t really enjoy the cocktail I got because it was unexpectedly sweet, the ginger syrup overpowered the drink. I should have asked for a recommendation. Overall, a happy experience. Thank you.

Delicious food and unique and fun atmosphere. John was a very attentive and friendly server. Rachel was very helpful and kind to try to accommodate our large party last minute on a busy Friday evening; even though she couldn’t make it work. My fault for forgetting to book a reservation. A bit on the pricey side, but the ice cream and birthday treat for my daughter’s birthday was a nice touch. We went at 4pm on a Saturday and, in my opinion, this was the best time as it was not super busy or loud. Wasn’t a fan of the stools (except for the neat aspect of storage) because they were quite small and low, which was not ideal for my elderly parents. Overall, all 8 of us thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Korilla’s. Thank you.
