Thomas Juul-Hansen designed the restaurant’s interior with a modern yet rustic sensibility; zinc and marble accent stone and reclaimed wood. The restaurant’s lighting, artfully conceived by Hervé Descottes, employs paper shades and Edison fixtures to create warmth throughout.

The restaurant is named after America’s most famous founding father, Benjamin Franklin. While he was pinnacle in America’s birth, he also became the first ambassador to France. Fantastic dining experience. Service and food were superb. It’s a small restaurant in a charming converted schoolhouse. Staff were attentive and friendly. The one negative is the noise level. If you’re looking for a quiet dining experience this might not be the right fit. For me, this is a great choice to take someone for a special occasion or someone visiting from out of town.

We were there for a celebration and it was excellent and fun! The ambience is the perfect balance of casual elegance. Everything was delicious. Highlights were the olive oil poached halibut, perfectly roasted duck breast, and desserts. The pastry chef is an award winning artist. Desserts are innovative and satisfying. Especially the creme brulee and the Benny Bar.

I can’t believe I’ve never been here before. Classy old-school Italian fine dining. The food was delicious. The service was impeccable. Ambiance was cozy for a cold night. This is going to be my go-to for special occasions!
