Mushrooms are the heart of what we do at the Joel Palmer House. We have always endeavored to obtain seasonal and local ingredients and we use many locally produced greens, herbs, and vegetables, some of which come from our own culinary garden. We are frequently inspired by ingredients found in the cuisines of France, China, Thailand, Poland and India, so we call our cooking "freestyle." Our dishes pair well the celebrated wines of Oregon, especially Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay. Our extensive, Oregon-focused wine list has been awarded the Best of Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator. Of special note, The Joel Palmer House ranks as one of Oregon's finest historic homes and is on the National Register of Historic Places and the Oregon Historic Register. Built in 1857, the house is Dayton's oldest standing structure. When weather permits, guests can enjoy their dinner on our outdoor patio, soaking in the last rays of sunshine in the heart of Oregon Wine Country.

Our Dundee Tasting Room is open Wednesday-Monday from 11am-5pm.Holiday Hours: Our Tasting Room will be closed from Monday, December 23rd to Thursday, January 2nd. Well behaved children are welcome to our tasting room, we ask that they please stay in their seat during your visit.     We had a wonderful dining experience. From the moment we walked in we could tell the experience would be great. We were quickly provided with a server who provided us with sparkling water and went through the special for this special Sunday meal. We started with bread and whipped butter, the bread was the perfect mix of crunchy and soft. Our entrees came and did not disappoint. My companion loved her pork stuffed cannelonis and my salad was great. We followed up with Affogato Al caffee and a baked pear crumble. Overall we highly recommend Nostrana.

    A truly amazing culinary experience. Each course was presented by the Chef as a private tour of his ancestral country side. it was as if we were magically transported to romantically indulge our palates in the hills (and caves) of rural Italy. The wine pairings were a sublime engagement of our senses, elevating the complex layers of wonderful flavors into a chorus of decadent pleasure. Thank you for a memorable evening.

    First time to Pink Door and it did not disappoint! Everything we had was fabulous, the service was great as was the atmosphere! I felt at times I was in the 50’s with the decor and music which was fun! They even had real candles! We will definitely be returning!
