Located in the heart of Gramercy in the restored Assembly Hall of the landmarked United Charities Building, Hawksmoor is a steak restaurant that celebrates all-natural, pasture-reared, and traditionally dry-aged beef. Our beef is seasoned simply with sea salt and cooked over live-fire charcoal. Our seafood is locally and sustainably sourced from northeastern waters and we use small-farm produce whenever possible.     We are from Canada and celebrated our 25th Anniversary in NY. We chose Carmines for the wonderful reviews we read. The food was delicious, and the value was outstanding. They serve family style so one dish can easily feed 2 to 3 people. Keep that in mind when looking at the pricing. Absolute 5 star experience. Wait time was minimal with reservation and we booked 2 months in advance. We would 100% recommend this restaurant and their very professional staff made the experience perfect!!!

    Chloe is fantastic! The prawn pad thai is the best we’ve ever had by far. Tried one from each section of the apps, all very good but highlights were the beef skewer and crab uni buns. Ended with a top tier soufflé and espresso martinis with a lovely chocolate after-note.

    Everything was fabulous. We had Scampi, salad and the mushroom ravioli which was to die for! It is very noisy there however. My only other comment would be that the family style service gives you a lot of food for 2. We did finish everything because it was so delicious but just barely.

    Must try the bacon with peanut butter butter. It was was a family favorite. The crust on the steaks were perfect and made this place one of our top steak restaurants in NYC. Also, the sides were all GREAT (highly recommend the table side cheese for steaks, corn brûlée, Brussels (crispy). Everything was delicious!
