## La Mama: A Santa Fe GemLocated steps from The Plaza, La Mama is a wine bar, restaurant, cafe and specialty market. By day this spot pulls fresh coffee and serves up full breakfast and lunch offerings. The lovingly rendered, light-filled 1915 bungalow has ground floor banquettes, a cozy mezzanine, a charming covered front porch and a convivial backyard patio. By night, La Mama transforms into a delicious dinner hang out serving food crafted from local and seasonal ingredients alongside a full list of natural wines, local tap beers and an extensive selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Start your meal with house-made focaccia with whipped local-milk ricotta, organic chicken liver paté or lamb crepinette. Continue on to larger dishes like the veg-friendly winter squash gnocchi garnished with piñon dust or the confit duck with black lentils and chard. Finish it all with something sweet like the salt-baked apple.

La Boca has been on our list for awhile. It didnt disappoint. There are actually 2 venues at the same location. The entrance on Marcy is a typical Tapas place. Around the "alley" is a dining venue with live music! We opted for the music. Much fun and of course noisy. Tables are set up for 2 diners very close together like NY or Chicago. No white table cloths here. A small bar and a small stage for the guitarist and drummer. Very "village". Loved it. We shared mussels in a delicious coconut sauce with crusted baguette from Sage. Sandy had a Sangria and I had a seasonal dark beer. Then we shared a paella for one. Very filling. Next time we will try other Tapas dishes!

Restaurant 315 is convenient walking distance from the Santa Fe Plaza. The restaurant has alcoves and we were seated in one of these and dinner was very private, We started with cocktails of Sazerac and Pear daisy and both were excellent. My wife had the Branzino which was whole but deboned with the filets put together, It was excellent. I had the Duck which was tender and tasted great, The sauce accompanying it was excellent. We are light eater so we had no other dishes. We were very satisfied with the meal, service and ambiance.

Great experience. Really good food. Loved the focus on locally grown/raised food. Our wine was unique and fascinating. Our server was attentive. What’s not to like?? Took us a while to get there, but we’ll be there many more times, I’m sure.
