Best Authentic Restaurants in Orinda

Our waiter was fantastic, charming, knowledgeable and very professional. The meal was delicious. The wine list is good although fairly expensive. Nevertheless, a lovely dinner. I look forward to my next visit.

Your prototypical neighborhood restaurant and bar that’s achieved something of a landmark status over the years (thus, attracting patrons and actual tourists from greater distances) for serving hearty meals, providing warm attentive service (by waitstaff, some of who have decades of tenure) and by offering a level of conviviality, bonhomie and ambience that makes you feel as if you’re dining with family and friends. Please forgive the evident bias in my review. I’ve been a proud “member” of The Casa (as it’s known by we locals) Family since 1971.

Great lunch - panini pollo! Will go back for dinner

Great food, beautifully decorated interior, and warm & welcoming staff.

My husband and I had a wonderful post-movie dinner at La Piazza! The atmosphere was a pleasant, comfortable neighborhood vibe with a warming fire in the pizza oven. Not too noisy, and the food was delicious. My generously poured glass of Willamette Valley pinot noir was outstanding and only cost $13, a bargain these days! Our meals were also delicious and abundant, and served with great care and timeliness. All in all, a lovely experience, and we will go back multiple times!
