Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Acworth

We went to Henry's for Valentine's dinner with another couple. We got the boudin balls as an appetizer, I was pleasantly surprised! Very tasty, little spicy with sausage and kind of like a hush puppy outside batter. Really liked it dipped in the remoulade sauce. My husband had the Liam's chicken he said it was Fantastic! Really juicy and flavorful. I got the blackened catfish over spicy cheese grits and it's was so delicious! It was an enjoyable dining experience.

Kyra refreshed our waters & was delightful. Tom (i believe) (middle aged, heavy set, salt & pepper short hair) was clearly ran thin. Tables seated after us were getting their orders taken, food & check. While our waiter was able to give a second of attention to us it was great. Overall i felt the experience could have been improved if we were not waiting 20 minutes on our check; 22 minutes on our food.

Capers on Main doesn’t look like much on the outside. To be honest, my wife and I were wondering if we had made a mistake as we pulled up but the parking lot was full and capers had come recommended. We got in and the dining room was about 80% full with a mix of couples and girl groups doing “gallentine”. Shortly after we were seated the piano man started playing in the lounge which is comfy with a nice fireplace. We got our drinks and here is where I knew we were in for a good experience. I ordered a martini with a twist. Most bartenders will be lazy and toss in a wedge, never mind that the wedge overpowers the martini and I drink too shelf but this bartender gave me to twist and even had a cool presentation for it skewered on a toothpick. My wife had a special martini from the house specialty menu. She ordered the blackened pasta and I had the crab cakes. Both were good, the crab cakes had a fruit sauce that was light and sweet, not overpowering and the crab cakes were mostly crab, almost no filler. The blackened pasta was decent. It’s a good choice if you don’t want to be overpowered with seasoning. For desert we had the crème brûlée. It was enough for 2 with a few bites left over. All in all we spent a hundred bucks plus tip and felt we got out money’s worth. Our waitress was very nice and had a great balance for not hovering but also not letting us linger with needs not fulfilled. Service very good.

We have dined at Roberto’s so many times since they have opened we lost count. Probably our favorite place at downtown Woodstock. The tuna tartare and fish dip are absolutely delicious and every one of the entrees we have tried is top notch. Lobster roll, salmon, fish n chips are a must and you can’t go wrong with the crispy potatoes or broccolini for sides.

This was our very first time coming to this restaurant. We saved it for a special occasion; it was our 20th year wedding anniversary. This place overall was amazing!! The service was on point; our server was Noel, and she was very professional, nice, knowledgeable and made us feel welcomed! The food and drinks were absolutely delicious!!! I highly recommend this restaurant. 🤩
