Best Restaurants for Groups in Highland Park

Food and chef delivered top notch food and service but prices are outrageous now for what they charge and the little portions of food you get. We went to Benihana because we saw on Facebook a $40 dollar meal deal for a 5 course meal. Well the restaurant said there is no such thing as a 5 course meal for $40.00 dollars.

The reservation through open table was perfect. Seated quickly by a friend and professional staff. Our waitress was good, but a little hard to hear in a noisy environment. The food was very good, hot and tasty. We will be back.

This was our first time at Joan's. Everything about our experience was fantastic! The service was prompt, friendly, and educational. The owner and Chef were interactive with the guests. Both of us agreed that this was the best tasting menu that we have ever experienced. We have eaten at many fine dining restaurants from Alinea on down and truly do feel this was the greatest. The presentation was gorgeous, the wine pairings were spot on, and the lemon dessert brought tears to my wife as it reminded her of her grandmother's recipe. Our anniversary is in 2 weeks. As soon as we got home, we canceled the reservation we had and booked to celebrate at Joan's in the Park! Thank you, ladies, for the grand experience!

I met 3 friends for lunch. We shared 2 meatballs as an appetizer. They were fantastic and 2 meatballs were plenty for an appetizer. Our meal orders were all over the menu. All were delicious but the winner was the "Minute Chicken". We shared the Banana Pudding for dessert. There was plenty to share and was the best banana pudding that I have ever had. The place was packed on this Tuesday for lunch, but our server, Jessie, treated us as if we were the only table in the house. I can't wait to go back.

We are so excited to have a new restaurant in our neighborhood and it is gorgeous. The atmosphere/ambiance is what my sister and I called "upscale Minneapolis chic". (an oxymoron I guess!) It is spacious with very tasteful and calming décor and has unique and exciting menu options from locally grown and in-house cured/prepared food. The staff are delightful and personable and make sure your time there feels special. Love it and will be back again and again! Welcome!!!
