Best Restaurants for People Watching in Glover Park

Very nice atmosphere with pleasant ambiance that my two daughters enjoyed for a afternoon lunch. The food selection provided a good variety of choices from breakfast to hot plate selections to sandwiches. The prices were really reasonable and I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone who visits the Georgetown area. A very SPECIAL THANKS to our server Mr. WILSON. He was EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!

We went for Valentine’s Day. We were seated upstairs. A comfy, sleek atmosphere combined with marble floors columns and walls. There’s something goth-esque about the surroundings. Bravo to the Sommelier who knew her Spanish wines. She spent a considerable amount of time helping us choose just the right bottle for the variety of tapas we planned to order. We chose one from almost each category. The raw seafood and seafood choices were our favorites. The octopus was divine! I loved the oxtail croquettas and my boyfriend loved the oysters that came in a can, a nod to smoked oysters in a can (lid and all!). They were truly delicious, delicate with a hint of citrus. The ceviche in the dragon fruit was mind blowing! So delicate and fragrant. It reminds me of the ocean. Dining at Bazaar is an experience for your palate. It is worth the culinary trip. I’ve dined on José Andres’ culinary creations since he arrived on the corner of 7th and E Street’s Jaleos and have followed him as he opens one culinary destination after another. Another diamond!

Food was great. We were a little disappointed that the filet special was not available when our reservation was for 5pm, but everything else was great.

Great service in all parts of the experience, from accommodating a last-moment addition to the party, through explanation of menu items and seasonal specials, to expertly handling an unexpected spill. This places seems to every day earn its great reputation!

My goodness, the roux--it is perfect, making the gumbo the best I've had outside of NOLA and H-town in years. That alone made the meal. Also loved the hush puppies (who knew). For my main the pork tender was perfectly cooked and beautifully matched with mustard cream. My friend had the short rib, which I tried and loved. The only misfire was the strawberry shortcake, which was too sweet, breading too dense, and only one strawberry. My friend's bread pudding was superb. The service was excellent, water refilled consistently, food arrived at a nice pace. Kudos to Dauphine's, I'll be back with a cajun spring in my step. Thank you!
