Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Suffolk

We had a group of 20 tonight and the staff and food was fabulous. We had entrees from meatloaf, to salads, fried chicken, chicken and waffles, chicken sandwiches… all of it was perfectly seasoned, juicy and you can believe if we couldn’t finish what was on our plate we took it with us!

An amazing atmosphere that beat one of the best places I’ve been to in Tokyo, Japan. Service was outstanding and the food was beyond words….Thank you for a wonderful night!

My wife and I went for Valentines Day. The restaurant was rocking. But we were seated right away, thankfully we made a reservation on Open Table. Service was great. Food and drinks took a little longer than usual, but it was Valentines Day and we weren't in a rush anyway. The oysters rockafeller special was fantastic. As was the rock fish. Meredith, our server was attentive and friendly. We truly love everything we ordered. The owners or managers were present and made it a point to visit every table. You could see the pride they take in their restaurant (and rightfully so). We can't wait to go back.

Really pleasant night for a Valentine’s dinner. The prix fixe meal was only advertised through Open Table, not on the GA Tavern web site so having planned two dinners, we cancelled the second reservation for the Sat night. Even though it was a set dinner there were three options for the third course (fish, lamb and veg) and two dessert options (choc lava cake and chestnut panna cotta). All 4 courses were sublime with really subtle complementary flavours and the wine pairings worked though we do not like sparking wines with our desserts.

Excellent! The goat cheese balls are so delicious! We also had bang bang shrimp and sea crab soup and they were awesome!
