Best Comfort Food Restaurants in Union Beach

I had not been to this restaurant in several years. The decor has changed-very nice. The menu did have some of the previous items, in addition to some what I would describe as”pub-style” selections. I had the bourbon glazed sucking pig whic was probably the most delicious piece of pork I ever had. My friend enjoyed the halibut immensely. Our dessert, which we shared, was the S’mores item. It was a really different take on this classic. Absolutely delicious and a unique way of serving it in a small iron skillet. Our servers were delightful. Attentive without being intrusive. Very glad I returned to this restaurant. Will be back.

What a wonderful meal. We started with the Fig special and the artichokes. Both were very good. My son ordered the cod. It was delicious. I ordered the beef and it was cooked to perfection. The sauce was unique. My husband ordered a seafood with linguini special. He really enjoyed it. We saved room for dessert and ordered the brownie al a mode with peanut butter ice cream and wow!! It was absolutely amazing. Our waitress was so efficient and vet friendly. Just a wonderful experience. Compliments to the chef!!

All good. Great place. One issue yesterday was that large birthday crowd was standing between the bar and the hi-top tables. The servers couldn't get through with trays They were brushing against friends of ours who are also regulars at Houlihan's and who were eating dinner. They decided to take their meals to go and they left. Suggestion, with groups like that gathering for drinks with gifts, perhaps the management can offer them an area in the dining room and maybe give a small break like $10 off the check if they agree to move.

Thank you Sam for your kind smile and attentive service. My hubby had a burger. It was cooked to his preference. I had the pulled pork, less the coleslaw, with fries. I ditch the soft brioche bun and use the fries as a bed for my pork. So bad for you, but it tastes delicious. I enjoyed that with a glass of house Pinot. My only complaint is that they no longer has the doughnut dessert. They only serve fried dough stuffed w Oreos. Love this place!
