- LLynnvipWashington, D.C. Area •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoThe cod and market fish special were excellent. We started with the two different salads. We ended with the donuts, which were a bit much and not super special. We would have preferred a different dessert. We were celebrating an anniversary, and they did make it special with a bit of sparkling wine and a sparkler on the table, as well as a card. We saw a number of special celebrations for birthdays and such nearby. It is a nice place for a special night.More infoMelinaPrice: Expensive• Greek• North Bethesda•4.8
- MMarijoyWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoThe brunch had numerous options. For hors d'oeuvres: the Frissee Lardon was well-dressed and topped with a perfectly poached egg; and the Soup a L'Oignon had perfectly caramelized onions and was topped with delicious golden crust of Gruyere cheese that over flowed the bowl. For entrees: the Tartine featured a buttery salmon and parsley spread that was well complemented by the slightly acid capers and pickled shallots; and the Loup de Mer was perfectly cooked and the butter sauce and nuts added to the flavor and texture of the dish. For dessert: the Pots de Creme was creamy and flavorful with no bitter chocolate aftertaste; and the Mocha Creme Caramel was firm and creamy with the almond praline adding a satisfying crunch. The Mimosa was light and refreshing. The Bloody Mary was average. The ambience was that of a cafe, not a fancy restaurant. The food was as high quality as any french restaurant, and the portions were generous. Highly recommend for a delicious french cafe meal!More infoCafe CollinePrice: Expensive• French• Arlington•4.8
- BBryanvipWashington, D.C. Area •39 reviews4.0Dined on 16 Nov 2024We used to frequent NYAJ, however, we lost enthusiasm because the menu seemed old and stagnant. What once seemed inventive or adventurous was beginning to feel outdated and repetitive. Our visits became much less frequent once we changed locations. This most recent dining experience was our first visit in about a year, and it felt like a pleasant surprise. For starters, the menus are different. The appearance and format alone can be welcome changes. I also liked how they added some new concepts such as two wraps on homemade wraps. That little touch made it feel different and creative.More infoNot Your Average Joe's BethesdaPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• North Bethesda•4.1
- WWillWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined on 7 Nov 2024This was an experience to remember!! The food was amazing and very well curated. I left not too full and certainly satisfied. I especially enjoyed the iberico and the prawn paella. We had the wine pairing which I can see why they won the sommelier guide, they were uncommon varieties yet and I appreciated the time and care they took to explain each course.More infoXiquet by Danny LledóPrice: Very Expensive• Spanish• Georgetown•4.4
- FFoodiWashington, D.C. Area •20 reviews5.0Dined on 16 Dec 2013Had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and the service was great. We sat at the counter and were able to watch the chef make everything. Since we went on a Monday, wine was market price, so we enjoyed the salmon special and pork chop with a bottle of wine. Too bad they're closing the restaurant portion, because we would definitely go back. Looking forward to taking some cooking classes there though!More infoOpen KitchenPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Falls Church•4.2
