Best Historic Restaurants in South Salem

The food at RSI is always wonderful. What disappointed a bit last night was the service. First, the waiter did not understand a drink order, even though it was a signature cocktail from their menu. Next, he did not share any specials for the evening, yet did to other tables. Finally, a dessert item was not as listed- different topping which changed it. It will not keep us from returning, but hopefully this helps the management to know where training might improve their experience.

Fantastic dining experience. Service and food were superb. It’s a small restaurant in a charming converted schoolhouse. Staff were attentive and friendly. The one negative is the noise level. If you’re looking for a quiet dining experience this might not be the right fit. For me, this is a great choice to take someone for a special occasion or someone visiting from out of town.

We booked dinner at the MacArthur restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The food was delicious, ambiance comfortable, staff was friendly & efficient. Would definitely return.

A wonderful dining experience. We were greeted promptly on our arrival and shown to our table Great service. We started with the Beet Salad and Meatballs. Entrees were Branzino and Caci de Pepe. Everything was delicious. Desert shared chocolate Gelato- incredible.delicious coffee was topped it all off. We decided we would return. The noise level was due to the liveliness of people dining and conversing. We were able to hold a conversation throughout the evening.
