The Emmy burger is an absolute must if you eat here. I’ve heard people rave about it and was very pleased that my high expectations were met!! Service was great - we got our food and drinks so quick. Definitely coming back here next time I’m in NYC

I normally wouldn't leave Ft. Greene for a restaurant, but this Mexican place had dairy free/gluten free (assuming you can have pure corn). Ruta Oaxaca really decorated so fabulous for Valentine's Day. They printed the specials menu on paper with hearts. This graphic designer appreciates these extras. Then they had a special pink mescal drink for the day and an alcohol-free Corona. There were other alcohol-free drinks on the menu but they were sold out. Sweet, but not cloying so (unless you eat the candy decoration they put in it). They put together a special Valentine's day menu. I had the chicken breast sitting in sauce made of delicious black beans, corn and Mexican black mole sauce. I love black mole so I was in heaven. My wife had verde chicken enchiladas and was equally pleased. We had tea and then got a box for the leftovers. We'll definitely be back. Ruta Oaxaca, please put a chicken & mole dish with cheese optional on the regular menu!
