Best Historic Restaurants in Charles Village

We were celebrating my wife’s birthday ….it was a wonderful evening, very enjoyable. Start to finish…from the atmosphere , our waiter Miles and the delicious food…including the complimentary dessert for my wife’s birthday was a nice surprise, quite yummy and much appreciated !!! Great Italian restaurant - the best in Baltimore! I took my wife here for our anniversary. I had the Fettuccine Bolognese and my wife had the Fettuccine Toscana...both were top notch dishes and the homemade pasta makes all the difference. Service was great too. Ristorante fantastico!

Everything was great. It was Valentines Day. The valet service was perfect. The hostess's welcomed us and took our coats, they were both cheery and polite. We were seated right away. Our server was Randall, first off, he has a great personality and man he knows his wine! Outstanding recommendation.....one of the best waiters we have ever worked with. The fresh focaccia was warm, and the sweet potato butter worked well with it. We split the beet salad, which was outstanding. The Swordfish was perfectly cooked, and the presentation was charming. The goat cheese ravioli was over the top good, nice and creamy but not over seasoned. My compliments to the Chef. We ordered the chocolate souffle as dessert (which you have order when you order dinner, it takes to make it from scratch), it will not disappoint...its paired with a raspberry sorbet. Great combination. Ask for Randall when you make your reservations. He's a really cool guy. The atmosphere was nice a welcoming, light jazz music playing in the background. The place was clean, neat and squared away. I thank everyone there for a wonderful evening.

Always a great experience. It’s laid back. The staff are attentive. The drinks are spot on. The food is excellent.

Came to celebrate a birthday . The table we were sated at was nice . The parties sprung us however made the experience very unpleasant. Additionally having the runner continually ask if I was done or take my plate was not only an annoyance but felt invasive as if I was being rushed out of the establishment. I would give a 4/5 as our server was excellent ( crystal ) but I do believe further training is needed for the runners as no where in the reservation did it indicate a time allotment for me dining ( e.g. 3 hour window or 2 hour max ). It made the evening very uncomfortable and unpleasant to say the least .
