As the name suggests, P.S. Steak was established to continue the story of the historic space that was once famed La Belle Vie. As Chef Mike DeCamp spent 10 years at the former French restaurant, this will be his homecoming and opportunity to write his own chapter for the space. P.S. Steak disrupts the perceptions of a typical steakhouse while honoring the legacy of one of the great culinary foundations in the Twin Cities. The restaurant features an elevated yet accessible seasonal menu, along with a variety of cuts of meat, dry aged in a display case. The lounge has been given a modern makeover with chic furniture and marble table tops. A selection of living floor plants divides tables to create intimate seating. Bringing warmth to the room, the bar and adjacent fireplace keeps guests cozied up to a menu of progressive cocktails.

The Lexington is more than a restaurant, it’s an institution. Located on the corner of Lexington Parkway and Grand Avenue, this St. Paul community was the most fashionable at the turn of the 19th century. The St. Paul elite lived just blocks away and the first electric trolley brought visitors up and down Grand Avenue. The Lexington opened in 1935, after the end of prohibition, and was a popular neighborhood bar to gather and socialize. Previously operating as a speakeasy, the expansive wood panels were perfect for hiding a little booze and one can only imagine the shenanigans going on beyond the hidden staircase behind the coat check. For decades following, The Lex, as it’s called by locals and enthusiasts alike, was the place to be seen; business dealings, cocktail hours, and milestone celebrations were a regular occurrence for St. Paul socialites.

I had an incredible dining experience at Nolo! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, setting the perfect tone for the evening. The food was absolutely amazing—every dish was expertly crafted, fresh, and bursting with flavor. You can really tell the chefs put a lot of thought into the menu. The service was top-notch as well; the staff was attentive without being overbearing, and they made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. Highly recommend Nolo for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Currently I have to use a cane to walk and I made it known when I booked the reservation. Upon arrival we were asked what works best, a table or booth. Since the chairs at the tables are armless we went with a booth. Now on to the dining. Our server promptly greeted us and said he will be back quickly to take drink orders and to tell us about the specials. And he was and he did. My friend had a small salad and a small risotto. I had the linguine de mare. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent, including the lady who made sure our water glasses were filled and took away used utensils and dish ware. Zelo is configured to handle just about any size group. It has wonderful food and service and is more relaxing than some of the other more expensive restaurants on Nicollet Mall.

Delicious food, elegant surroundings and gracious staff. This place has old-school opulence, without being pretentious. The valet service to park your car is a much appreciated feature. The choice of entrees allowed one to opt for something either more budget oriented or extravagant. If you want a fine dining experience, you would be hard pressed to find better in the TC market.

We went there to celebrate my birthday (group of 8) Abbey was fantastic! The kitchen ran short of a couple items but the manager was great in making up the difference. We did not feel like we miss out on anything. The ambiance was amazing! The music was great and so was the feel of the place. I have light sensitivity so we chose this location for its dim candlelight. Unfortunately there were two separate groups with bright ring lights taking pictures. I understand it’s a public place and we all want great pics…but it would’ve been nice not to have the bright lights flashing in your face while you’re trying to enjoy dinner.

We've dined at Lurcat several times, and it never fails to impress. Last night we stopped off after a visit to the Minneapolis Institute of Art and chose to keep things simple, ordering off the bar menu. The mini-burgers and fries (with a side dish of Bearnaise for dipping) were perfect, and the warm cinnamon sugar mini donuts for dessert were just what we needed on a cold January night. As always, service was excellent.
