Going to Bocca is like going home - always welcoming and always warm and wonderful! If I were allowed one suggestion it would be: please ask people to refrain from talking on or engaging their cell phones while dining. There was a person near me who was dining alone. His entire time was spent watching rather loud videos. While I requested that the server ask him to lower the volume, it was disruptive nonetheless. Perhaps it’s just the way or the world…. The ambience was really quite relaxing and beautiful. The illumination of all the candles against the windows overlooking the ocean was just divine. There were many wonderful choices for entrees on the menu, however, my husband and I each had the evening's dinner specials which were excellent. I had the pasta dinner special (linguine with lobster, shrimp and scallops in a light ginger cream sauce) and my husband had the short rib dinner with mashed potatoes and haricot verts (french green beans). Service was excellent, beginning with the accommodation of a late addition guest. Staff was there for every need and question yet never made us feel rushed—even though our meal went past closing. I expected great food and was not disappointed. Oysters were particularly good and French-pressed coffee always adds a great finishing touch.
