Best Healthy Restaurants in Brownsburg

It had been over half a decade since we’d been to Traders Point, but after seeing their Valentine’s Day menu, we decided it was worth making a Valentine’s Day mini weekend of it. The Harpist music was subtle enough for background, but loud enough to enjoy. Once we realized she was playing pop music songs, we enjoyed guessing them. We ordered the Valentine’s Day Flight half because my wife wanted to see how they were garnished. She really like the bold orange elder flower mimosa and lemon lavender French 75. Will try and recreate at home, you can se me the garnishes in pictures. Orange peel opened up like a rose bud in the Negroni. I had their Honey Bunch (take on a manhattan), pecans work well with Bourbon and honey, who knew? Pecan crumble garnish made it festive and change the taste. And then a Feisty Cabernet Sauvignon to go with dinner. We added a cheese and meat charcuterie board to accompany the meal. Favorite was a goat cheese from California that had Moon in the name of the creamery, we are calling to see if we can be reminded of the creamery. Their own award winning cheese was very good as well. We happily finished everything in the board. We both really like my wife’s crab stuffed shrimp starter. I had meatballs that were a little undercooked in the middle for wife’s preference, but I was quite happy. We are on opposite ends of the cooking temperature spectrum. We were both really happy with our mains. Porkchop with spiced seeet potato swisschard for her and filet with added blue cheese whipped potato brussel sprouts for me. Don’t sleep on the Ice Cream Sundae. It’s a creamery. With house made toffee crumble. Best sundae ever. She liked her cherry chocalate cheesecake, but brought most of it home. And of course on the way out, bought 2 bottles of chocolate milk to take home to the kids. If you are from out of town, always bring a cooler to Traders Point.

My husband and I traveled to Indianapolis for Valentine's Weekend and enjoyed an amazing dinner. The service from Michael, our waiter, was amazing. The meal was delicious. The sea bass with scallops and lobster risotto was the best. The staff was even willing to save ur reservation after arriving 16 minutes late due to the arrival flight being late. Thank you for being so considerate to us out-of-town guest on one of the busiest nights of the year, Valentine’s Day!

Everything was awesome, though I just didn’t really like creamed spinach to begin with and just wasn’t a fan. Steak was pretty decent for a filet, not dried out and had a nice flavor. Mashed potatoes were good just seemed to be microwaved. Dessert was awesome and they even gave us a discount and a free shrimp cocktail because they served someone else our dinner by mistake. Not a big deal at all and we had a great time, didn’t mind the wait on our food. I would go back and try some more seafood items, the shrimp and their cocktail sauce was perfect! I would go back just because it was a nice place and we were treated very well. Thank you!

Ocean Prime in Indianapolis offers a great dining experience with a quiet, elegant atmosphere and classical music. The service is attentive and friendly. I had the New York strip with truffle butter, creamed spinach, and truffle mac and cheese, all delicious. My daughter enjoyed the dynamite sushi roll and teriyaki salmon. A solid choice for quality food and a relaxing meal—I’d definitely recommend and return!

We enjoyed a great meal with excellent service. The oysters were so fresh and delicious; sea bass was outstanding, best in our region! And my husband enjoyed the steak. Each entry was complimented with tasty, chef inspired and prepared accompaniments such as squash and polenta. Absolutely delicious. We will be back.
