Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Avila Beach

This has become my favorite restaurant in the SLO area. We were there with a party of 4. We all ordered different things (chicken over risotto, Salmon over polenta with veggies, shrimp and pancetta pasta, Flatiron steak with potatoes) and each dish was beautifully prepared and so delicious! All the seasonings and sauces were spot on and the meats/fish cooked to perfection. The service was outstanding, portions were a good size, dessert was excellent (we had choc cake and tiramisu), and both the restaurant and the gardens are very charming. For this high quality food, prices were reasonable. COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF...we will be back for certain!!

We had 8ppl at 530pm, and it was a lovely experience. The food was delicious. Our service was top-notch. The band didn't start playing until 7 p.m., so we had a nice quiet dinner and conversation. Once the music started up, it became a little hard to have a conversation, but the visual aspect of the people dancing and the music was very entertaining and enjoyable.

On Valentine’s Day, 4 of us were finding most places were not available for a regular dinner since we’d just arrived from out of town. Suddenly Open Table showed Pono Pacific had an opening, so we snagged it. The mahi mahi was the perfect combination of sweet and crunchy. The squash appetizer was also delectable. Mussels complemented the halibut, and the shortbread tart deliciously completed the exquisite meal. It turns out a previous reservation had just serendipitously canceled, lucky us!

Creative and delicious courses, each served in a unique hand made dish and accompanied by a skillful wine pairing. An experience that exceeds your expectations.

From walking through the door to leaving after dinner everything was Exceptional. Seated immediately. Shane was our waiter and was attentive ( without being over the top) through our meal. Helped us with selections. Food was also Wonderful. Seafood dishes, chowder and steak were enjoyed by all. Interesting Cocktails and Lava cake for dessert! Yum
