- LLeticiaChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined todayThe 6 course Chef’s tasting was exceptional! Sitting by the kitchen provided a dynamic experience; but dress light as it is hot. Misha, our server was fantastic. The alcoholic and non alcoholic cocktails were delicious. Elevated plant based eating has never been this fun!More infoBloomPrice: Expensive• Vegetarian / Vegan• Bucktown / Wicker Park•4.8
- RRobinChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoWe had the absolute pleasure of dining at Alpana on Christmas Eve, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Nestled at 831 North State Street, this gem delivered a meal and an extraordinary dining experience. The ambiance struck a perfect balance between elegance and comfort. The warm lighting and chic decor made it feel festive yet relaxed—ideal for a memorable holiday evening. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about perfecting every detail. Now, let’s talk about the food—truly phenomenal! We started with the Butter Chicken Meatballs, which were tender, flavorful, and downright addictive. Then came the Whipped Feta & Truffle Honey platter, featuring house-marinated olives, pistachios, roasted peppers, rustic sourdough, and prosciutto. It was an absolute standout—if we could eat this daily, we would! The Kale and Farro Salad was a burst of flavor, refreshing and hearty all at once. For our mains, we shared the delectable Short Rib Bucatini with its luscious red wine-braised short rib ragu, herbed ricotta, and parmesan. Paired with the Red Wine Braised Short Ribs, every bite celebrated rich, savory perfection. The wine and cocktail list deserves its applause. My son and I enjoyed a glass of bold Cabernet while my daughter sipped on Prosecco, which perfectly complemented the meal. The selection is thoughtfully curated, with something for every palate. As tempting as the dessert menu was, we had no room left—but we’ll return to explore it next time. This was hands down the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Alpana is a must-visit for anyone seeking incredible food, top-notch service, and a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back!More infoAlpanaPrice: Moderate• American• Gold Coast / Streeterville•4.8

This was news to us as open table makes No mention of this at all. Apparently guiesss management is addressing this with open table. Also if you’ve already gone to the Guinness brewery in Dublin please be aware this is nothing like that. The beef stew served with au jus broth instead of a hearty beef gravy as usual. Salads and burgers were good. Fried cheese curds amazing ! Service was outstandingMore infoGuinness Open Gate Brewery - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• Brewery• West Loop•4.5

- BBenitaChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined on 20 Dec 20241st time hear celebrating my best Friend's birthday and yes they Didn't charge us for the dessert but all the server did was put a candle on it and come out and hand it to her no special song or Even say Happy Birthday just lit the candle and put it down in front of her and walked away. Grateful for the dessert but It would have been nice to sing a little Happy Birthday or make it a little special for her since it was a milestone birthday. When I asked about things on the menu the server seemed bothered that I asked...we never been here so I was asking what he suggests. Maybe he had something on his mind but they AUTOMATICALLY ADD 18% gratuity to your bill so I assume that's why he really didn't care. I tipped in addition to that added gratuity but the service on this 1st experience was not warm or welcoming. The food was amazing and the atmosphere was amazing that I would give 5 stars the drinks during happy hour were also very tasty we will be back...and hopefully we will experience better service. The food was spot on...loved it!!More infoBeatnik West TownPrice: Moderate• Global, International• West Town•4.5
