Best Australian Restaurants in Hampton

I have had the privilege of eating at a few of the highest rated restaurants in the world. I have never had an experience like i had at Attica last night, it was beyond expectations. The ambience when you walk in is simple, elegant with a little bit of obscurity in the artwork to really make it pop. The service was beyond anything i have experienced in Melbourne it was attentive, polite and friendly, the front of house team want to be there and clearly love what they do and were also incredibly knowledgeable of the food they were serving, more so than most chefs. The food, THE FOOD! Everything was divine! Chefs are masters of flavour balance, every single little item was cooked to perfection. The seasoning was perfectly balanced. Big acid hits to delicate flavours and wonderful, adventurous new flavour profiles to try that just delight your tongue. I will end on the food with this. When a chef cooks you a dish that contains ants, that just might be one of the best things you have ever eaten in your life. It does tend to leave you a little speechless with what you think is possible with food. A particular highlight was the soba noodle prawn dish. I just want to say to the chefs that hands down was the most perfect balance of salt to acid ratio I've ever had and I'll be chasing that dragon for a long time to come. Thanks chefs Let's make no mistake, this is, an expensive experience, however a few things to consider. It takes a mountain of people to do this level of service and the quality of staff it requires for this level of perfection... is worth every cent! Do yourself a favour and and go and enjoy

Beautiful food. Modern Australian cuisine. Great service and setting

We booked a set, 3 course, Valentine’s Day dinner. It exceeded expectations. The recently renovated space, coupled with attentive wait staff and excellent food made it a truly memorable evening. The food is beautifully presented and extremely tasty. The $99 per head was, in my view, excellent value and included a red rose and complimentary sparkling wine. It is part of a gaming venue and the location is not to everyone’s taste but as a suburban venue it’s a great choice.

Far better steak than most steakhouses that specialize in the dish!! Side dishes were fantastic especially the Brussels sprouts Kudos to all the staff! Our favourite Goto for special events!
