Best Neighbourhood Gem Restaurants in Clear Lake / Webster / Bay Area

Service was very slow. It appeared that one waiter was covering the entire dining room. He wasn't very attentive. Cocktails were made well, and of good size. We ordered two appetizers: the Hamachi crudo and the taleggio cuscini. We didn't care for either one. My husband had the lobster bisque and said it was the best he had ever had. My daughter and I had the pasta alla ruota which is served tableside and was absolutely delicious. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday, and I told them in my reservation that I was bringing in a custom cake. They called me 2 hours prior to arrival and said they saw that we were having a birthday celebration and told us they don't allow outside cakes. Kind of irritated me that they didn't say something two weeks ago so we could have made reservations somewhere else. They did not offer a birthday dessert either. Not sure if we will go back.

First time and a top-notch experience. The jumbo crab cake is the best I've ever had. Bone-in ribeye with foie gras butter was superb. Paired with the Napa Valley cab sav and a side of au Gratin potatoes. Finished the night off with the Crème brûlée that was devine. A perfect treat for a special night. Art, our waiter, is at the top of his game and made our anniversary a very special night for my wife and I. Absolute perfection all around at this restaurant. If I could give ten stars, I would.

I had a perfect dining experience at Whiskey Cake, as always. This is one of my favorite places to dine out. The service is always great and the food always delicious. I really admire that they stick to natural ingredients and source them locally. A great place for brunch and dinner. Coming back soon!

Best sushi/sashimi in Houston so far. Service was absolutely incredible. We had a table and will try the bar seating next time. Big thumbs up all round
