Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Franklin Park

This is our favorite moderately priced restaurant. They serve fresh baked bread that is the best we’ve had at any restaurant. They also serve an antipasto dish with olives, cauliflower, celery, shredded Parmesan cheese, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. It’s delicious and a perfect complement for the bread. It’s filling too so it could replace an appetizer. We like to go on Friday nights because their current special on Fridays is Shrimp Diavlo. It’s magnificent. Big meaty shrimp and a flavorful, chunky tomato sauce makes this dish five stars. We had the tiramisu for dessert last night with coffee and it’s a huge piece of cake, beautifully presented with a vanilla cream around the base. Wow. We’ll go back soon!

Went for a mom and daughter dinner. Started with a cocktail - lemon martini for me and spiced pear spritz for my daughter. Both were boozy and delicious. We shared a kale salad which she liked. Too lemony and crisp for me. I had a tagliatelle bolognese which was flavorful and filling. She had the eight finger cavatelli which she enjoyed. The dining area around the bar was pretty noisy. However we were seated in a room of to the side which was quiet. Service was terrific - our waitress Ana was very attentive and prompt. They had their Christmas decor out which was really festive. We will definitely come back as we’ve got to try the pizza!

Food was really good. Service exception. We were not rushed at all either.

We have been dining at Gibson’s in Oak Brook for many years. We love the food, service, and ambiance. We look forward to warmer weather so we can sit outside. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, a holiday, or just want a delicious meal, Gibson’s is the place to go!
