Best Wine Bars in East Nashville

Every dish was so complex and delightful in flavor and texture. The service staff were excellent— when we gave feedback that the mushroom tartare was a bit on the salty side (not a complaint, just a kind note for the kitchen) they comped us another appetizer! They also separately gave us a delicious off-menu chawanmushi. Settling the bill was surprisingly pleasant too— turns out the gratuity was included, and they give you a postcard that they’ll send free of charge if fill it out before you leave.

The owners, passionate and exceptionally knowledgeable about their craft, create a welcoming atmosphere that feels both intimate and inviting. As they engage with customers, their down-to-earth demeanor ensures everyone feels at home, elevating the experience of savoring fine wines in a delightful setting.

Really nice dinner with friends at Mere Bulles. Our favorite dishes were the She-Crab chowder; the special Grouper Ponchartrain; and the butter cake. We were also pleased with the wine selection and, as usual, expert yet friendly service. Our only complaint: it was very noisy.

Our waiter Brandon was great. The restaurant was cold and could’ve been a little warmer.
