Best Restaurants for Outdoor Dining in Hilton Head Island

Our Absolute “Go To” restaurant on the island! Everything about Charlie’s is fantastic. The menu entrees are changed daily depending on availability of their fish options. We have had many of the appetizers but generally go back to their escargot. You will always have a great entree and the Pave’ Chocolat for dessert is a must try. Highly Recommended!!!

This was my first time at Chez George. I took my better half there on Valentines day and the experience was amazing. This family run French Restaurant was perfect. From the escargot to the Beef Bullion and everything inbetween, our experience was delightful. The service was friendly, and the chef even came out to speak with us. ELA’S On the Water was the perfect spot for our Valentine’s Day dinner. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, with stunning waterfront views that made the evening feel extra special. The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive—and every course was beautifully presented. We started with a delicious appetizer, followed by perfectly cooked entrées that showcased fresh, high-quality ingredients. The flavors were outstanding, and the wine selection complemented our meal perfectly. To top it off, dessert was an absolute treat. The ambiance, food, and service all combined to create an unforgettable night. Whether for a romantic evening or a special celebration, ELA’S is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be returning!

Very nice evening with another couple celebrating Valentines. Food and service are consistently outstanding at Red Fish, and ambiance is always great...... It's a very popular spot that everyone enjoys. We don't need a special occasion to dine at Hilton Head's finest restaurants, as we dine out almost every night, but this is always a good choice for a cozy & romantic setting to treat yourself to excellent cuisine and a memorable dining experience. We ordered the NY Strip to share and our guests had the Halibut special and the Salmon. All were beautiful in presentation, and served timely and hot. Server checked on us often which is extremely important to me (something for which isn't often given enough credit). Thank you most kindly & see you next time.

The food here is delicious with lots to choose from including vegan options that have never disappointed. Servings are generous, you won’t leave here hungry! Attentive and knowledgeable staff plus lovely background soft jazz and artistic setting makes this one of my favourite restaurants on Hilton Head Island. We will be back 😁
