They could have been a bit more exciting, however the egg and cress, ham and tomato, tuna mayo, and cheese and chutney were pleasant enough. The scones with jam and cream were homemade, but I think the server had forgotten to serve the butter as there was some left on another table - but we didn't really miss it! The brownies, date and toffee cake, and mini lemon meringue pies were all delicious. The tea and coffee could do with being a bit stronger, but that's just me! Looks much better than it did back in the day. Staff all super friendly and chatty despite it being so busy. Food was great, we got the side plate deal and it was more than enough for us to share.
