We've been serving the people of Braintree and beyond since 2015 and in that time have humbly become ‘one of Essex’s best restaurants.’ We have received recognition from the AA, having been awarded an AA Rosette for ‘culinary excellence’ for five consecutive years, and then in 2023 we received our second rosette, putting the restaurant amongst the top 10 restaurants in Essex. Our food is of course one of our main focuses, but we don’t just stop there. Attentive, relaxed and friendly service is as important as the food and our objective is to make your visit an enjoyably memorable one. Our exceptional wine supplier, Peter Watts Wines (based up the road in Coggeshall) allows us to offer you delicious wines of an exceptional quality. Then add some cocktails, jazz, personality, creativity, a few hidden quirks and we like to think this all culminates to create a truly wonderful experience. Life is about memories; we want to be part of your best ones.

We have a huge range of craft beers, cask ales, premium lagers, and ciders but we also have a spirit emporium packed with gins, rum, and tequila and we can’t forget our artisan cocktails and superb coffee! Very good food and service in an excellent if, slightly, noisy venue. Only negative comments were that the light levels and font size made it difficult to read the menu's, although this in itself made it easier to accept the maitre D's recommendations and generated hilarity as we tried to illuminate with mobile phones. Fortunately my guests were Greeks from Crete so were perfectly used to sit side saddle on the chairs which could have been imported direct from there. They are not comfortable however rustic they may look, Maybe ok for well upholstered younger bums but a pain for us older olg gits whose glutus maximii have faded away.

Wonderful from entrance to exit, I’d highly recommend for those that enjoy a fine dining experience. The food was exquisite and flawless and their wine list could keep you entertained for some time! An expensive but not inappropriately priced wonderful restaurant, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Quite simply, this is one of the best restaurants in the world. The food is incredible. Every course was absolutely delicious, the ambience of the dining room is unfussy and welcoming. The staff are all friendly and efficient. And Brett Graham, the chef, takes his time to come to every table, explaining the dishes and chatting to his customers all through the night. Incredible. Up there with Core and The Fat Duck as my favourite restaurants in London, and one of the best dining experiences of my life. Stunning. I’m already planning a return.

Excellent service with very polite, friendly and attentive staff who were very helpful in advising one of the party who had dietary requirements. We all ate from the set menu which gave a good choice of interesting dishes. All the food was very well cooked, delicious and well presented. The restaurant has a pleasant , friendly atmosphere without being noisy. Good value for money and very close to car parking. Can thoroughly recommend.
