It may be common but paying extra for a salad as a second side irritates us. Though the side salad IS large and very good! So it is worth $6, just wish even a smaller version came with the meal instead. The entire staff is always incredibly friendly, which I think comes from their wonderful owner. She clearly takes pride in what she does and genuinely loves hosting, creating a warm and welcoming culture. I celebrated my birthday here, and the staff went above and beyond by giving me a card and cake—it was such a thoughtful touch. The food is consistently delicious, with excellent gluten-free and vegan options. We were sat by the door when there was no one in the restaurant and asked to move because it was a special occasion…and we wanted to spend time with the people we were dining with…instead they put us in the middle of the room. The restaurant was empty. It would have been nice to not be under the spotlight. The food was delicious!! The service was good not great. The server didn’t seem to know the menu very well or the types of booze they offered.
