- EEricWisconsin •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoOur experience was quite nice. The staff was extremely friendly and respectful. Food was outstanding. Eva and Neil were our servers and they were top-notch. Only minor complaints were we were seated next to a semi-loud group even though the restaurant was mostly vacant when we dined, and the table we were at was pushed in very tight to the wall. We probably could have requested to move but it wasn’t that bad. Music was interesting but not offensive. Had some old rock and some newer indie stuff playing which didn’t match the restaurant’s vibe, but I personally enjoyed it.More infoBacchus – A Bartolotta RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Contemporary American• Milwaukee•4.7
- OTOpenTable Diner1 review4.0Dined 4 days agoWe had a great experience at Oak Barrel Public House on Saturday, March 8, 2025. We had a 6:30 pm reservation but arrived early at 5:50 pm because of the Bucks game and the Shamrock Shuffle, which had closed off streets and created large crowds. Despite being early, the staff was very accommodating. They even had a table ready for us earlier than expected, and we were seated with minimal wait time. The place was packed with Shamrock Shuffle participants, but the service remained attentive and friendly. Even with the busy atmosphere, we never felt overlooked. Unfortunately, they were out of my first choice, the Whiskey Bacon Chili ($8.99), but I went with the Pulled Bacon ($13.99) instead — bourbon cider braised pulled bacon with Kentucky bourbon sauce, flame-roasted jalapeño corn pico, and pickled red onion. It turned out to be a great second option — rich, flavorful, and very satisfying. Person #2 had the Chicken Caprese Wrap ($16.99) with fries, which they said was tasty and light without feeling heavy. Person #3 ordered the Oak Barrel Signature Wings ($17.99), but they were also out, so they opted for the Buffalo Chicken Wrap ($16.99) with fries and were happy with the choice. While it was surprising that two of the three of us couldn’t get our first choice so early in the evening, the positive service and quick seating made up for it. The table time limits were clear from the website, but we never felt rushed. Overall, a very positive experience — we’d definitely return!More infoOak Barrel Public HousePrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• Milwaukee•4.4
