The drinks were strong enough and tasted delicious. Try the P.Y.T. and the chocolate cherry kiss, they won't disappoint. He also had the barrel aged old fashioned and said it was the best old fashioned he had ever had. Dessert was the white chocolate bread pudding and the key lime pie; they were fantastic, as well. We were not rushed, we had everything we needed quickly and all the staff were welcoming and friendly. Pricey? Yes but well worth it. This was my 2nd time there, his 1st. The music, the art, the names of the dishes on the menu. For a few seconds the sounds and sights are like a roller coaster running full steam, but then everything settles into place and your visit begins to flow. Fresh truffle service tableside? This is the place to do that. Mac and Cheese with Maine Lobster and that truffle service? Sign me up. Swashbuckling Bundt Pirate cake served on a classic Aquaman plate for desert? Yes please. On February 14, 2025, I got engaged to my best friend—one of the happiest moments of my life, second only to becoming a mother. I was completely overjoyed and surprised! The food and service were absolutely excellent, making the night even more special. Despite living in the area for a year, this was my first visit to The Boathouse at City Point, and I’m so glad he chose this restaurant for such a memorable occasion. Just listen to the visitors from all over sitting around me and all you hear are people commenting to each other how delicious their meal is. My wife and I have enjoyed an evening there many times and I have tried several of the meals there. Every time it was exceptional. From their Tenderloin to their Rockfish, each meal was a special event. If you are looking for somewhere for a formal occasion like a special date, anniversary, etc. I highly recommend the Jefferson.
